In 1985, the State Council of the People's Republic of China approved and forwarded the Ministry of Health's "Report on Several Policy Issues Regarding the Reform of Health Work". This report liberalized market access in the healthcare sector by permitting individual medical practice and diverse forms of operating medical institutions, thereby laying the foundation for the development of private dental clinics. In the same year, Mr. Xu Yongsheng and Ms. Ye Hua, the founders, sensing opportunities in the domestic oral healthcare development, decided to engage in the supporting processing business of the dental medical device industry. They planted the seed of entrepreneurship in Qiushi, Ningbo. With solid skills, a few partners, the same passion, and a shared dream, they laid the first crucial anchor for WOSON.

Through relentless effort and excellent craftsmanship, WOSON steadily progressed in the dental medical equipment accessories market, with products gaining widespread recognition from industry peers. 

After more than a decade of accumulation in hardware accessory manufacturing, WOSON transformed from a small team to a more sizeable entity. It grew from a comprehensive accessories supplier to a specialized dental medical device manufacturer, laying the foundation for future product manufacturing.

On 19 April, 2000, WOSON Medical was officially registered as “Woson Medical Instrument Co.,Ltd.” and “WOSON” brands were established. The "WOSON" brand stood for stable quality, good performance, and cost-effective products, helping WOSON become one of China’s largest dental equipment accessory manufacturers. In 2001, with China's accession to the WTO, WOSON began to embark on a global branding strategy.

After years of meticulous design and development, WOSON independently launched the TANDA series of steam sterilizers, integrating advanced domestic and international technologies. This marked the company's official transition from a dental equipment parts supplier to a full-fledged dental medical device manufacturer.

In 2006, Mr. Liu Bin (Frankie), the successor, returned from overseas and joined WOSON, formulating dual sales strategies for domestic and overseas markets, marking a new chapter for WOSON as a finished product manufacturer.

The company relocated to the Changxing Road factory in the Jiangbei Investment and Entrepreneurship Center, bringing the spirit of WOSON and the legacy of dental culture into the new premises. In the same year, WOSON initiated its comprehensive dental treatment unit production line, leveraging reliable technology and extensive experience in dental accessories manufacturing to launch a series of dental treatment unit products.

In addition to the main “WOSON” brand, WOSON established the “Purple Dental” product sales system and registered the “Purple Dental” trademark. It also created the "PARSON" brand for accessory solutions and the "WOQUTE" dental culture brand for managing dental cultural operations and services. With excellent quality and service, WOSON products gained recognition in both domestic and international dental markets.

When WOSON relocated to its Jinshan Road facility, where the introduction of assembly line operations significantly boosted production capacity and efficiency, while also enabling diversified business development. In response to China’s the Belt and Road Initiative, WOSON initiated a global strategic layout by establishing overseas subsidiaries in Latin America, India, Russia, and the European Union. This expanded our overseas market presence through broader coverage and deeper channel penetration, enhancing both sales and service capabilities.

In the autumn of 2018, after an inspection visit to Meishan, President Ye Hua decided to return to her hometown to launch a new venture. The company acquired 50 acres of land in the Meishan Bonded Zone to build a comprehensive oral healthcare industrial base. In early winter of the same year, the Woson Globe Medical Science & Technology Park held its groundbreaking ceremony.

WOSON has defined three major product lines: Sterilization and Disinfection Control,  Diagnosis and Treatment, Digital and Imaging, providing comprehensive dental solutions across all these areas. Through continuous product iteration and innovation, the company is steadily forging its own path. 

In partnership with the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, WOSON established a joint dental digitalization R&D center, laying the foundation for a digital dental ecosystem platform.

As a global comprehensive dental equipment solutions provider, WOSON pursues its own development while also contributing to the advancement of the industry, contemplating its social responsibilities, and addressing the growing public emphasis on oral health. The Woson Globe Medical Science & Technology Park utilizes the world's most advanced production lines and features a diversified manufacturing layout. The park will attract numerous supporting industries, fostering a clustered ecosystem for dental technology. Additionally, it includes plans for public facilities such as a dental practice center, a training institution, and a dental hospital, truly realizing an integrated medical complex that combines production, education, and research.
